The global poverty statistics are staggering and often numb our ability to truly look with compassion through the masses to the individual in the developing world desperately trying to make ends meet and provide for his or her family. How should Christians respond in communities where chronic unemployment reaches 40%, education levels are consistently below sixth grade and whole slum communities are marginalized by society and in need of compassion and love?
We believe the answer must be both spiritual and physical. We see believers extending Christ’s love in real and tangible ways that impact the individual, the family and eventually the community. We don't believe in handouts. We believe in hard work, dedication, a supportive community and a lifestyle of following Jesus.
Paradigm Shift trains local churches and ministries to become the catalysts of change and transformation by combining the message of the Gospel with meeting practical needs. We currently focus our work in South Africa; equipping local churches to provide business and entrepreneurship training, small repayable loans to expand viable microbusinesses, one on one mentoring and spiritual discipleship.
